Welcome at GiteAirMarin

The cottage
Nestled in the heart of the Cotentin, in Foucarville, our cottage allows you to discover this peninsula steeped in history, rich in unspoiled nature with many faces.

Foucarville, a village in the Regional Natural Park of the Cotentin and Bessin Marshes, is located between land and sea, near Saint-Vaast la Hougue, Cherbourg and Sainte-Mère-Eglise.

Housed in a renovated house, in a quiet area, our gite full of charm and character is located 50 m from the beach. It will accommodate five people (+ baby) while enjoying all the modern comforts.

Surroundings
The Regional Natural Park of the Cotentin and Bessin Marshes: rich in its many migratory birds, marsh animals and plants, Many visits and activities are organized there.

Saint-Vaast la Hougue: it is a typical port where the tour of the Channel in sailboats stops and where you can visit the famous Vauban tower. A short amphibious boat trip takes you to the island of Tatihou, which also houses one of Vauban’s towers and a museum of paintings. Between the coastal town and the island of Tatihou is held every end of summer the “festivales de Tatihou” seat of festivals, activities and very nice meetings.

Cherbourg: located about 30 kilometers to the northwest, famous for its umbrellas and a major commercial and passenger port.

Sainte-mère-église: this town, located about 12 kilometers to the south, is the first town liberated by the Americans during the Allied landings on June 6, 1944. The stained glass windows of this church represent paratroopers, one of whom is hanging from the bell tower in remembrance of that memorable day when such an event happened.

The landing beaches of the Second World War: Utah beach, the westernmost American landing beach, is located about kilometers to the southeast.

The Gatteville lighthouse: located about 25 kilometers to the northeast. Your gaze will carry far because it is the second highest lighthouse in France.

The west coast of the channel: is not far either (located about 40 kilometers to the south-west) and will allow you, from the promontory of Carteret, to see the Channel Islands depending on the weather: Jersey, Guernsey .

Mont Saint Michel: jewel of Normandy, you can get there in an hour by the RN13 then the A84.
